Comedian Russell Peters wanted DEAD by Bollywood Fans…

Posted on 23. Sep, 2011 by in Missy, My World

speedy singhs, russell peters, russell peters should die, stand up comedian, russell peters angers bollwood, missyd, missy d,missy deeRussell Peters for me has to be one of the funniest comedians EVER! I’ve been told many times in the past that I should be a comedian. I entertain the suggestion in my head (as I reckon I would) and then switch on Russell for some inspiration, and I know I can’t touch him. He is internationally loved and known, but Bollywood and India HATE him. Bless his cotton chuddies.

Apparently news is just out that some Indians want him banned from the country and in true Bollywood over-dramatic style some would like him DEAD! Oh my…

What’s the poor man done? Well he was just A) being a comedian as that’s what he knows best and B) said that he hates Bollywood and Aishwariya Rai Bachchan can’t act (now just imagine how he says it in his cute Canadian accent).

His exact words at a press conference were “I hate Bollywood. The movies are all garbage, just terrible. It’s my opinion, obviously there are billions who love them. I have never seen a Bollywood film in my life. I have refused to do them earlier and will do so in future”. And then as comedians like to go overboard and don’t know when to stop he allegedly cracked some jokes on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s lack of acting skills and pregnancy too.

aishwariya rai, speedy singhs, russell peters, russell peters should die, stand up comedian, russell peters angers bollwood, missyd, missy d,missy deeLow and behold Indians across India have gone nuts. Not nuts for him, but I reckon they would right now like to chop his nuts off!! It’s pathetic!!! The man cracks a few jokes and obviously these people in India don’t get the humour and start going into one. According to them he has no right to insult Aishwariya Rai, and some other person is saying how dare he come to India and disrespect the people that live in it. Even political people are going mad apparently saying “Who is this Russell Peters and why should we entertain him? I think he should be banned in the country if he doesn’t respect our traditions and films” (some dude from the Shiv Sena).

Russell is just acted in a BOLLYWOOD Movie LOL, called Speedy Singhs and has tried to defend himself by tweeting “There is no reason for me to like everything you like, My opinions are just that MY opinions, There are plenty of things I love that you won’t! The fact that my words have upset some of so much only makes me Victorious! Hahah!” and also “I don’t need to eat sh** in order to know that I don’t like it….”

There’s people writing on forums saying how is he is an idiot and should have respect and here’s one that got me laughing even more… “Russell, you hate India, Indians, Indian traditions and you must be feeling shame that you are Indian, so why don’t you shoot your self and go to hell. I have big white community as friends who feel bad that they are not Indian and who always wish they were born Indian to enjoy the Indian traditions. You are one of bad apple who bring shame to Indian community. Your publicity is based on these ethnical remarks and if all this traditions does not exist, your comedy goes in drain with you.” And another says, “ At first I was insulted and even angry at Russell Peters when I read this. But eventually how can you stop people from wagging their tongues about “their opinions”? This is unfortunately a world of self-professed-wisdom and people feel that their freedom to express themselves doesn’t have any repercussions on society. We just need to ignore him. Think about it – he is making a living by unapologetically making fun of Indians… how much lower can you get, really? He will fall flat on his face someday and will have to eat his own sh$t”.

What’s even more laughable is these lot are all going how dare Russell say something about Aishwariya and are salting him even more. Just cause she is the daughter in law of Mr Amitabh? I’m sure if they

OH MY GOD!!! Seriously though are all these people for real?? They need to chill out! Russell has the right to have an opinion. He is a comedian and I am sure being as I’m someone that entertains that he was being comical and obviously being a comedian he probably didn’t know it wouldn’t work. But entertainment and entertaining is always hit and miss. Either that or maybe he got nervous and got all his lines and gags mixed up and it came out all wrong.

Indians need to calm your ass’s down. I mean come off it, he didn’t disrespect NO-ONE. He merely was just being himself and doing what he does best. But then I have to admit I am an Indian and know that Indians love to create a drama out of anything and everything. They will make massive deals out of anything, and can be so O.T.T. The effigy burning of Shilpa Shetty comes to mind when she was kissed playfully by Richard Gere. Indians went mad and started burning effigy’s off her cause apparently it’s not the done Indian thing!!

Come on India. Get a Life. You need to stop making mountains out of mole hills.

Russell is right. He IS entitled to his opinion, just like I am entitled to MINE. Ok some people choose to be diplomatic and kiss ass. I say do what is in your heart  and say what you feel. I always say what I think, otherwize what’s the point in being a puppet??

COMEDY just incase you didn’t know is all about taking THE PISS!!! And that is all he was doing as a comedian.  Leave Russell alone. Seriously get a life you DRAMA Queens.

Damm there goes my blood pressure…..Good joke though Russell…gotta give it to you!!! LOL

I’ve been a fan of russell for a few years now. Been to both his SOLD OUT shows when he came o2. Been waiting for this film to comeout. Anyone whos seen his comedy laughs because hes so real! What he says is the half truth about all asian/indians.

I am wit you missy. His opinions. But i will still carry on supporting him. The man puts me in stiches every time!

And if indians dont pipe down “somebody gonna get hurt, real baddd”

Thank you Snoop and exactly!!! Its obvious the sense of humour of Indians as compared to NRI’s is very different. Sometimes their humuor can be really dumb and down right stupid!!

And the fact that the man sells out in minutes to Indians and non-Indians across the globe speaks for itself….

” man sells out in minutes to Indians and non-Indians across the globe speaks for itself” couldnt of said it better myself!

Fact: O2 seats approx 20k people.
Both times i’ve been to see him, I’ve never seen so many indians under the same roof, expect at a guju wedding lol. His last show 2010, most of the FRONT half where either African, asian(chinese), or Middle eastern. Not even indians.

Mans a class act, i would see him again and again!

Missy dee, you NRI types can have your sense of humour of be gone with it but if you dare crack one joke about a pregnant woman we will not take it lying down. Its obvious that you and russel peters type of people are just white asslickers but if you come to india and make fun of us we will show you how we feel about it.If people want him dead now i say that we should chop off his limbs and throw it in his parents face and then laugh about it and say its funny.

Shamsher. Indians themselves are very apt at taking the piss out of themselves. I am Indian and proud. But comedy is comedy and each and every comedian on the planet has taken the piss out of a White man, black man, Chinese man, Indian man, Irish man etc. They also take the piss out of sex, marriage, relationships, rascism, infact anything or everything. If you are to entertain a comedian then you accept that fact.

I’m sorry but if you think I am a White Ass Licker then you are sadly mistaken and yet again being an Indian you choose to be dramatic just like they do in those Indian TV serials!!!

This forum is for your opinion. That is what Russell and myself have done. But you just like to dramatise and be derogatory and have the audacity to call me an ass Licker and a White one at that when you don’t even know me.

      Lol. Shaabaash.

First of all you are not an indian but an NRI who has no knowledge of the sensibilities of indian people. We don’t at all think that making derogatory remarks on pregnant women funny at all.As for the drama in indian serials and films we like it as that is how we are in real life and not cold and whimsical like your white masters.Don’t teach us what is humour or not because we are entitled to our opinion and according to us Russel peters remarks are derogatory, insensitive, uniformed and shows that he is just a catholic agent of his white masters who makes fun of indians and their customs. You and russel peters can go and lick your white masters a******

Honey you cannot tell me that I am NOT Indian. You do not even know me. But anyhow I am not going to get into petty arguements like you are asking for. Yes I’m sure you do like the Indian serials…I do not contest that and am sooo happy that YOU confirmed that. LOL. I am not teaching anything to anybody just merely airing MY OPINION….and as I said above I am entitled to it. I am not asking YOU or ANYONE to agree with me…

One thing I do know is to respect others and their opinions….

Please get a lesson in comedy, how it works, and what kind of material is used…..

Did you hear the one about the Englishman, Irishman, and French man??

HONEY,I love indian movies, bollywood and everything showin in them even the OTT melodrama as it reflects indian custom and culture.Check out online and you will find that indian movies are the most watched all over the world and beats hollywood hands down. From all over the subcontinent to the middle east, japan, korea, africa, germany, russia and across europe bollywood rules. Most of these countries literally come begging down to our producers doors offering them incentives to shoot on their shores so that it could boost toorism in their country.

As for comedy lessons,if you think that making derogatory remarks on pregnant women and other people’s culture constitues comedy then it is you who needs lessons in comedy. For us,Raju shrivastava ticks all the right boxes when it comes to comedy and this catholic agent russel cheapers is not even good enough to be in chappals.

Ha,ha ! You would probably have more contacts but i work in this industry but on the media side so you may have more contacts but who cares about your contacts. In fact your contacts in the industry would be ashamed that you support such people who make derogatory remarks against one of the most sucessful actress in the industry who is currently pregnant. Also, the remarks he has made against the industry itself are uninformed and clearly shows that he is a catholic agent of his white masters. The question is are you as well ? And,Non resident indian does not really quallify as a true indian particularly those who find cheap remarks agains india, indians, indian cine industry and pregnant women funny.

On the subject of the remarks made about Aishwariya Rai by Russel Peters….as you work in the industry…can you tell us the EXACT words used by Russell about Aish? Surely you will know this? Please do inform your public. This is your stage….

Furthermore my contacts in this and any industry would be proud of someone who stands their ground and is able to stand up and voice their opinion, and also even insults by the likes of you who has no reason to insult myself….

I would really find it hard to believe that your contacts in any industry would find it amusing to hear that you find cheap and derogatory remarks on pregnant indian women funny.

Oh its ok to take the piss out of your contact Akki publically on a forum but its not ok for Russell Peters to say that Aish hasnt had a hit for the last 37 years??

Furthermore if you go back to what I said initially – if you were paying any attention whatsoever….then you would have read that I said that it’sRussell Peters who said this. A man who lives off comedy – who tells jokes for a living – and comedians are renowned across the globe to take the piss out of anything that they can….

He wasnt in Irland so obviously he was going to make a joke about an Indian and Aish came into the firing line…what YOU and all these Indians who are making a mountain of a mole hill, need to understand is that he made a joke and it was a joke coming from a joker. Therefore needed to have been taken with a pinch of salt . He made no crude marks about her pregnancy…the fact she is pregnant is being made a big hoo haa about!!!!! Seriously you need to get a grip

Im sure Akki will love what you said about him

So now you think that aish hasn’t had a hit in last 37 years.I am no big fan of aishwarya but i can tell you that just last year she gave one of the biggest hits Endhiran ( Robot in hindi).Just shows your lack of knowledge on bollywood and to improve it check out her total list of hits in wikipedia.
I find it very very amusing that after supporting a man who made derogatory remarks on a pregnant woman you also begrudge the sucess that aishwarya has achieved not just in bollywood but also worldwide. For more proof contact madame tussad’s museum who have installed a wax statue of Aishwarya in London.

No ji….I didnt say it. Russell is quoted as saying….Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s fans have strongly reacted to stand-up comedian Russell Peter’s remark that the 37-year-old actor hasn’t become a better actor over the years. On a recent visit to the Capital, Peter, who is acting in Akshay Kumar’s film Speedy Singhs, even took digs at
Ash’s pregnancy saying that her husband “Abhishek (Bachchan) finally knocked her up.”

Its in this article….have a GOOD read before you get back to me

Are YOU seriious??? Aishwariya Rai is in Madame Tussads?? Are Bapre muhje to naiy putha tha…how cool!!! And yeh man I am soooooo jealous of Aishwariya Rai. I so am…. I dont sleep at night thinking that I could have been a bigger star than her. I really do. So was that Aishwariya kaun?

What was the point you are trying to make ? I did read the article and again had to read that filthy man’s stupid comments. But the best and most rational comment from the article is below :

“And btw, he is NO actor himself and for someone who DOESN’T watch Bollywood films, he knows quite a lot about Aishwarya’s acting skill. makes you wonder. idiot,” (sic) wrote filmichia.”
This shows his inflated sense of ego.If you have never watched a bollywood movie then how can this catholic rat make a comment on aishwarya rai’s acting skills whether they have improved or not.
As for you,the sarcasm you have shown is not at all funny when in the last comment you begrudged aishwarya’s sucess by saying that she does not have a hit in her career.

I was searching for Russel peters remark against Aishwarya rai and found out this article.Hope you don’t mind me commenting on this article.
I am all for upholding your opinion and point of view but i feel that this time he has taken it too far.Don’t take me in the wrong way as i used to find him incredibly funny when he used to take the mickey out of all kinds of people and all kind of things. In fact,i found out that some of his best works were on things indian,
Alas,i think that whatever little sucess he has achieved has gone to his head.Making indecent comments on pregnant women is not funny at all.On top of that he has the audacity to comment on bollywood when he himself admits that he has never seen even one movie of bollywood.Guess, making it in the big bad white world has gone to his head.
As for your comments on indians and NRI’s having a different sense of humour is probably right. We don’t find silly remarks on pregnant women chuckleworhty at all guess you NRI’s would have to teach us that.

Your opnion is respecetd but I do find it uneccssary to degrade people and talk disrespectfull as Shamsher has been doing from the onset.

Where is the article? I dont think you added it?

Yes we do have different senses of humour and I guess us as westerners are more tolerant….but really I still think too much is being made of it. But again as many are saying it is near the release of the movie and could most well be a huge publicity stunt…although that may backfire as many in India are probably looking to boycott the movie.

Missy, you may actually be right about the publicity angle as this movie had nothing going for it in India before this controversy. If this is right then it makes me sad that people would stoop to such levels just to promote a movie,Recently ex cricketer Shoaib akhtar has launched his autobiography by making similar controversy inducing notes.
I find the ongoing oneupmanship battle between you and another commenter funnier than the person who made all this controversy. At least you have the courage to say that you are a westerner and have different sense of humour. Most NRI’s i have met somehow tend to hold on to their indian identities even if they are 2nd or 3rd generation NRI’s.I guess that’s why the term ABCD came about.

Yes agreed I find it sad that some celebs go to any lengths to gain publicity. Although I mentioned it could be I really do think that Russell really was trying to crack a joke to the Bollywood masses….his delivery probably wasnt great. But then as a comedian you just hope and pray inside that your audience gets it. In this case it backfired.

I call myself half-half. Half Indian and Half western. I am very proud to br Indian and have visited India na dthe pind many times. I love India with Mumbai being my favourite. The pind life is the best though. I have land in India and I totally adore Bollywood and its music. But yes if I am honest the first time I landed in your country it was all way too much and took sme getting used too. I speak in english, punjabi, hindi and urdu and if you look at my cooking videos make a yummy gundaa paratha….

ABCD is for American Born Confused Desi…I cant think of what they call Brits that are Desi.

And oh about Shamsher….I have to say that it has to be the BEST entertainment I have had for ages. I have never laughed that much in a long time. I loved every single second of him…bless his cotton chuddies.

Glad that you enjoyed india and specially my city mumbai.Yes,India does give an outsider a full on sensory onslaught and not many can take it.
Continuing on the ABCD theme we just need the next alphabetical letter and lo we have BBCD.Keep up the good work and keep writing freely and independently.

Yup,you will find that most indians do have a sense of humour but hitting below the belt does rattle us.
Btw,i lived in Punjab and J&K for a couple of years and found the people both in the pinds as well as cities very warm and welcoming,in fact more so in the pinds. There was always a glass of lassi magically appearing out of nowhere everywhere i went. And yes, parathaas with Makhan di tikki in the mornings were amazing.Still have them in mumbai but somehow they taste better up north maybe it has to do with the colder climate.
Btw,excuse my culinary knowledge, what is a gundaa paratha that you make ? I guess i am getting hungry now….

That renaming thing would certainly start an entirely new debate ! Not that it was fun.Went through your website and that radio stuff is really cool.Too bad that the job scene is England is bad right now.In fact some friends of mine who used to work in a bank for more than a couple of years in London just came back and told us similar stories.Hope it works out well for everybody eventually.

Thank you very much. I’m glad you liked it. Yes it’s not looking good and looking to get worse.

Think I’ll come out to India and maybe give them some British Desi-ness on the Indian airwaves!

Ha,Ha ! British desi ness on the indian airways.Well, there’s no harm in trying it out as FM channels are getting opened in almost every other big and small city in the country and they can certainly use a big celebrity radio person from UK.
Actually,i think that Indians do love all things british.Katrina kaif is a glaring example and Hazel keech also seems to have a bright future.Another lady from liverpool who can make it really big in bollywood provided she is interested enough is Amy Jackson. She already has had a big hit down south and her bollywood debut movie is under production.

In a rush, didn’t have a chance to read all the comments so apologise if I double up and repeat.

    here’s my two pence…

firstly, when I read they even wanted him hurt, one can’t help but be reminded; “oi, russell! Somebody gona geta hurt real bad. somebody”!

Now of course russell (and unfortunately every other narrow minded folk) are entitled to their opinions. What they don’t realise is russell isn’t a hypocrite: you can’t laugh at others unless you can laugh at yourself. everybody has a side you can make fun of. Unfortunately, many indian citizens prejudice against nri’s. And it’s a shame because for some people, an attitude like that will only deter nri’s from their

Anyway, I think that’s enough getting serious. Russell, if you read this, I know you won’t let these fools affect you. You are a very funny person, so have the support of millions of nri’s hehe!

This topic seems to have become quite laughable. Bollywood would have surely done they’re due diligence on Russell Peters and taken into account they’d run the risk of him making some derogatory remarks.

What I find really silly is how folks in India get there knickers in a twist with something that does not concern them. In addition to this they seem to forget the media machine often uses controversy to generate public interest.

    1) Shamsher, do you real think Ash is bothered about Russells comments?

    2) Do you think she really gives a shit about you?

People in india have too much time of their hands to get involved in silly media driven causes, when they should be concerned with real issues that face they’re country like; corruption, social divides, infrastructure etc.

    Question?
Shamsher, ask yourself who’s caused the most offence to Indians in India? Russell Peters or the Indian government?

The biggest offence caused to the indian people is not Russell peters but the Indian govenment itself, look at Anna Hazare’s movement fighting against corruption, which has hampered and enslaved India and its people for years.  I worked in India for sometime and in conversation with locals, they categorically state, they wished the whites had stayed longer to help build the country and install a fully functioning democracy, built on strong governance and principles. So shamsher, say what you want about our White masters but look at they’re standing and influence in the world today rather then the past and you will see, India is nothing and that’s down to its own people.

As for your comments around NRI’S you make no sense. So stop being throwing your toys out of your pram and be a good boy and get with the 21st century. The world is now a global integrated society which has no place for outdated mindsets like yours, so get with it or get lost!

Mr.Binay you are nothing but a cheap white ass licker and your mother would be ashamed of giving birth to you when you make such sweeping generalisation on inidan people based on your experiences ? Can you tell what statistics you have to prove your statement ?I can tell what your white masters standing in the world today is.Your white masters have no jobs, are totally in debt and are begging to the Chinese to get them out of misery. So it is you who needs to get lost and get between the asses of your white masters and start licking because thats what you are good at .

As expected shamsher your throwing your toys out of your pram again!

    Poor child you are!

So typical of an Indian to start talking about facts and statistics when they can’t face the fact of whats happening in they’re own back yard.

I believe its you who initially started making generalisations about NRI’S and its you who needs to provide statistics. In addition to this my parents are from india and the very reason they left alongside many other Indians is to seek a better life. Still to this day they state they would never return to India because of the corruption that exists in every facet of life there. So Shamsher, its not only based on my experiences but also hard facts. We also have a huge flux of people from India who run to this country or stay here illegally in search of a better life because of your corrupt government and society.

Its funny you say we are begging the chinese and yet your country is only thriving because of capital inflows and investment from major western companies, so don’t forget who your paymasters really are, I believe its the whites you so hate. India will only thrive because of west and not itself because you people are incapable of getting your own house in order. Oh here’s some statistics for you, my country gives your government £280 million a year in aid as you don’t have enough money to feed your people, yet your economy generates over £1 trillion a year. So where does all that money go shamsher? It ends up in swiss banks while your people starve and beg on streets!

Shamsher, don’t worry about us, where doing great!

Think about what’s happening in your beloved India and not us and I wish you every success in all your future endeavours!

Mr.Binay i have serious doubts that you are using an indian monicker but you are actually a white trash or some such sort because what you have written here cannot come from anybody who has even a trace of indian blood going through their veins,You say india is progressing because of investments by foreign companies then forget it.India and China are two countries in the world whose growth story is largely based on domestic consumption and that is what has helped us to survive the recession. Also, western companies are coming here not by any chance but they see that the evergrowing indian middle class has the potenital to buy their products and keep them profitable. As for your country giving us aid then lets not forget that they looted us for 200 years and took away all our wealth and top of that killed innocent people like the jallianwala bagh massacre. So the aid is nothing but a yearly repayment of the colonial debt.I don’t say that politics and governance in india has been great but we are growing inspite of that.As for beggars in our country have you not seen poverty and begging in downtown cities of your country specially london cos i have seen extreme poverty there. Its just that india’s population is huge and despite the growth it will take time to cover up 200 years of loot and massacre.Btw,the richest person in your countty is also an indian and a proud one at that !

Interesting to read. But i think it surely is misleading. what I suggest to all so called modernized thinkers is change with the changing times but atleast have some self respect so that when it comes to you personally you don’t let yourself down. For eg, If Russel Peters make fun of a person saying he was born of a mistake of his parents blah blah… still you are modern enough to take that as a joke? What if he puts yourself there? I am not against anyone here. I just wanted to put my point to all the so called modernized thinkers. People can have Broad thinking and Magnanimity but when it is taken in place of self respect, its actually not good. Making fun is acceptable but you have to draw certain limits and need to provide certain respect. Even if one does not agree with something, atleast apologizing is something that could have been done. To the author, no offence intended. I don’t oppose you but at the same time don’t support you either.

    Thanks

Hello Indian. It’s ok if you don’t agree with my opinion. You are very much entitled to yours and thank you for airing it on missyd.com. I appreciate it.

I don’t quite understand all this self respect thing that is coming out. How does Russell become disrespectful by saying what he did? If any other person apart from a comedian stood there at said it. Then I would see that as wrong and malicious.

Russell is a comedian. Like many comedians it is in their nature/job to use any angle/material that they can to get noticed. I’ve been to many comedy shows and comedians take the piss out of. Blacks, whites, Indians, Chinese. Men, women, gays and sex. Now if every person were to take offence then the comedy industry would die. Russell Peters is a COMEDIAN and obviously was trying to be funny and not tarnish anybody’s self respect at all in my eyes. Many high dignitaries and famous people become part of comedians line of fire. But not many have reacted as India did. As they are aware that it’s a joke and that’s what that person does.

By self respect, I didn’t mean Russel Peterss’s. I meant yours mine and we indians. Picture this, you are a famous celebrity, and you are sitting in a show of Russel Peter’s. He suppose makes a joke about you not a normal one but the one that raises questions to YOUR self respect, and not HIS. Like the example I gave earlier, mistake of your parents, you would still be laughing on that joke or will take that as an insult. In the former case, if you are happily willing to take that as a joke you have already lost your self respect and the respect for your parents then, and in the later I think that is what my point wants to convey. Self Respect here meant self respect of Indians including you and NOT Russel Peters. Making fun is fine. In India you must have seen some shows making fun of actors, actresses, cricketers, politicians. This has always been below the brow. But if one goes over the line, it clearly damages your self respect.

I’m sorry I disagree. Laughing at yourself because someone had made a joke of you is not losing ones self respect at all. Infact that makes you an even bigger man.

I am someone who has worked in the public eye as a entertainer on the radio. Once I have made myself public to the world I cannot control what everyone says or think about me. I have recieved alot of public love and some public hatred. I’ve been the butt of some jokes. But as someone in the public eye that is expected. I’m not going to start crying when someone decides to say something about me. I’m not going to start kicking up a fuss. That makes me look silly.

Thing is I know self respect and it’s worth. But please don’t get me started on that subject as we shall be here for a very long time!!!!

Plus what has my self respect got to do with the jokes Russell made about the Bachchans???!

I loved these lines: Laughing at yourself because someone had made a joke of you is not losing ones self respect at all. Infact that makes you an even bigger man.

But again I think I should have given the cogent statement. I mean to say that supporting those things and enjoying those things about India to some extent is good. By extent, I mean to the decency level. But when it goes over the line and you laugh at that joke, that’s what i think is matter of concern. Then you are loosing your self respect if you support that. Drawing a line is important.

            Thanks

I guess the lesson learnt here is that Indians who are born and bought up in the Indian sub-continent do not understand the humor of NRI’s. And possibly vice versa too. Yet the difference is we have bern bought up to understand both.

Hmmm…I’m sure John Abraham is Catholic, do correct me if I am wrong, and why oh why is Bollywood turning to the likes of Brazil for new a new face – not very Indian, is it now??

I’m also an NRI, I love India, I may not have been born there, but I have the same right as any other Indian, whether they are indigenous, or Non, to proudly call themselves an Indian… 🙂

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but in a respectful, and diplomatic way is the best way – after all, isn’t what we Indians are known for – our hospitality, and gracious manners..

    Go India…

p.s Russell Peters is a funny man, there are far worse men out there, many of which, I’m sad to say, reside in India (politicans, criminals, etc etc…) and of course in other parts of the World

there is no race or identity called “Indian”. It is an artificial name given to a myriad of different races mistakenly. Indian is in reality a nationality. You are not an Indian as you are not a citizen of India. You are most likely a Punjabi Canadian. Nothing more. Had not been for India giving you the PIO or OCI Card you cannot even enter India without a visa. A privilege that can be denied to you, regardless of what you may harp about yourself.
