I am going to try making food from across the globe whenever I can. I am a dual citizen of the USA and so have spent alot of time there. Their portions are huge, so I used to order a starter as a main and trust me that was the dinner portion we have here in the UK! I loved Buffalo Wings out there with blue cheese dip. The coolness of the dip with the spicy tangy taste of the wings. I’ve always wanted to make them so I have looked up many recipes and combining them together to make my own up!!

Traditionally they are served with celery sticks but that’s not my kind of thing so I served mine with corn on the cob but had to edit it out as it got too long! They were actually alot more spicier than I thought but they tasted just like they do in the USA. So I’m hoping you like them. The recipe is below, and please do watch the video on how to make them. They actually don’t cost that much to make and make a change from boring, plain old chicken!!!

Buffalo Wings

2 Ibs Chicken wings (with or without the fat is your preference)

3 tbsp melted Butter

4 tbsp Hot Pepper Sauce

1 tbsp Paprika

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 1/2 tblsp White Wine Vinegar

1 tbsp Worcester Sauce

Dash of garlic powder

Mix all of these ingredients all together to make marinade (watch video)

1/2 cup (1/4 pint) sour cream

1/2 cup (1/4 pint) Mayonnaise (I used light)

1/2 cup (1/4 pint) Crumbled Blue Cheese

1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar

1 clove Garlic

Blitz all these ingredients together on the pulse setting with a mixer, so it has a few lumps. You can make it smooth if you prefer. The leftovers will keep for around a week in a air-tight container.

(For the rest watch the video!)

There seems to be a problem with the video after I fried the wings. I fried for around 4 minutes or until the meat goes white. Then the marinade that I kept to the side I brushed over the wings.

Fried v’s Baked?

So which one’s were better? I have to say they were both nice. The baked ones were alot more chilli due to the juices and all the sauces coming together. When I fried them alot of the sauce melted into the oil so it was just the little sauce that I brushed over after that made them tangy. I preferred the fried and my Mum loved the baked. The baked did leave my lips feeling very tingly for a good 20 minutes after!!!

Please do try and give me your feedback and any suggestions that you may have. Enjoy x
